The specific duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Managing databases within the Oracle, Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database technology stack
- Managing databases within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
- Troubleshooting data replication and integrity across the enterprise
- Performing and tuning along with SQL, PL/SQL, and T-SQL development
- Writing and maintaining technical support documentation for applications
- Adhering to security best practices, access control, and security policies
- Demonstrating day-to-day adherence with change control concepts and practices
- Providing 24x7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation
- Acting as a technical expert and reference point for wider technical queries.
- Mentoring other members of the team.
Possess a bachelor's degree in IT, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Computer Science or related field of study; plus
3 years of experience in Database Administration, Systems Engineering, or closely related field
- 3 years of experience in:
- managing databases within the Oracle or Microsoft SQL database technology stack,
- troubleshooting data replication and integrity,
- working on SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL/MSSQL development, and
- writing technical support documentation for applications
- 2 years of experience managing cloud database systems
- Demonstrated knowledge in scripting and performance tuning
- Demonstrated strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities skills
- Demonstrated strong math aptitude
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Experience in learning and performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in working independently as well as in a team environment
