Position Details - Income Tax Manager Job ID 619958 Title Income Tax Manager Type Full-time Location Winona, MN 55987 Departments Accounting/Finance Date Published March 11, 2026 End Date 03-23-2026 Job Description Income Tax Manager 212 W 2nd St, Winona, MN 55987 HEADD Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as an Income Tax Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our direct tax team focusing on a variety of federal, state, and foreign income tax matters for world-wide locations. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Managing the daily operations and development of the income tax team o Maintaining compliance with global income tax requirements, ASC 740, and other applicable international tax accounting standards o Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual global income tax provision, effective tax rate calculations, and related disclosures o Leading income tax research, planning, analysis, and documentation activities o Effectively communicating and providing guidance to foreign based accounting, tax, and administrative teams o Reviewing income tax returns prepared internally and by external tax advisors o Managing income tax examination activities o Processing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities to include analytical review of corporate tax balances and developing, enhancing, reviewing, and approving tax related reconciliations o Identifying and implementing system and procedural enhancements and efficiencies, including an emphasis on results-driven project management o Performing special projects and other administrative tasks as necessary REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field of study o Possess at least 5 years of related work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Proficient using PeopleSoft o Possess experience with accounting for income taxes o Possess experience with large corporate income tax return or tax provision o Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting o Possess a master's degree in Business Taxation ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers. COMPENSATION: The base pay range for this position is $72,000 - 90,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
