JOB SUMMARY
The Mechanical Assembler performs mechanical assembly tasks. This role requires previous experience assembling electro-mechanical components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret assembly drawings and documentation (BOMs, exploded views, ECNs).
- Assemble mechanical subassemblies with PCBAs and wire harnesses into enclosures.
- Apply torque specifications correctly using calibrated tools.
- Conduct in-process checks for proper hardware installation and alignment.
- Support troubleshooting and rework of minor mechanical issues.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
- Communicates regularly with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Technicians.
- Provides feedback on work instruction clarity and improvement opportunities.
- Works closely with team members to ensure production deadlines are met.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Proficiency in reading English technical documents and communicating in verbal/written form.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
· Use of torque drivers, calipers, and ESD-compliant tools.
· Understanding of revision control, BOM structures, and ERP systems.
REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to identify mechanical mismatches, escalate problems, and offer solutions.
