What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder position at FASTCO CORPORATION?
We have varing classification of welders. These classifications range from basic Structural welders to Code welders.
All welders must have skills with cutting torch, layout skills with tape measure, level and square and skills with grinders and hand tools. Evaluation testing will be done prior to hiring to determine classification. Some tests used to determine classifications are:
- FCAW or SMAW 3/8″ plate in horizontal, vertical and overhead positions
- SMAW open root pipe with E6010 root and E7018 cover in the 6G position
- 6″ sch 80 GTAW root and SMAW cover in 6G position
- 2″ XXH GTAW root and SMAW cover in 6G position
