Responsible for circulating OR cases (excluding Open Heart), assisting with case preparation, and assessing surgical patients. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient needs using the nursing process. Actively participates in providing patient care as defined by the multidisciplinary plan of care. Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients with diverse cultural backgrounds and varying ages. The Staff Nurse manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
