Job Description
The Scrum Master plays a meaningful role in delivering high-quality modern software solutions as part of a cross-functional Agile Scrum team. This role is accountable for leading the Scrum team, surfacing and resolving sprint risks and roadblocks, and facilitating Scrum ceremonies. The Scrum Master will also serve as a change agent, promoting Agile and Scrum practices across Merchant Services and broader technology/operations initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Act as a change agent with a passion for helping teams shift behaviors toward an Agile environment.
- Facilitate Scrum processes and events to improve team maturity and effectiveness using data-driven metrics.
- Foster an Agile mindset focused on values and principles, leading with transparency, inspection, and adaptation to deliver high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
- Enable sprint goals, healthy backlogs, acceptance criteria, and clear definitions of done/ready.
- Facilitate program-level Agile ceremonies including dependency mapping, release planning, and scope alignment across product teams.
- Help remove impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress.
- Facilitate communication and partnership within and outside the team, including stakeholder engagement.
- Protect the team from distractions so they can meet sprint and program commitments.
- Promote self-organization and cross-functionality by coaching each role to support high performance.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 6 years working in an Agile environment as a development team member, Scrum Master, or Product Owner.
- 5 years working as a Scrum Master.
- Strong facilitation, problem solving, and ability to influence outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of value-driven development practices (requirements management, prototyping, hypothesis-driven development, usability testing).
- Experience with Agile tool suites such as Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), MS Teams, Monday.com, or similar.
Preferred
- Experience as a Project Manager in a waterfall environment; familiarity with both Agile and waterfall is a plus.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise Agile transformation and working in a scaled environment.
Salary : $60 - $70
