Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wood Framer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the structural framework of buildings using wood materials, ensuring precision and safety at every step. Your expertise will help bring architectural plans to life, contributing to high-quality, durable structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from Custom residential new builds to commercial developments, with a focus on efficiency and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately frame structures according to specifications.
- Measure and mark dimensions using tape measures, levels, and other hand tools to ensure precise cuts and placements.
- Assemble wall frames, roof trusses, floor systems, and other structural components utilizing carpentry skills and power tools.
- Erect wood buildings and perform wood building erection tasks with safety and efficiency in mind.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for lifting or positioning large framing components safely on-site.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to adhere to project timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in frame carpentry or wood framing within a construction environment.
- Knowledge of wood building framing, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings such as blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., saws, hammers), power tools (e.g., drills), tape measures, levels, and basic math skills for accurate measurements.
- Experience working with construction plans for framing projects involving wood stud framing or dimensional measurements.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment or working on construction sites is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to Framing and heights.
