Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Hornero to join our vibrant culinary team. As a key contributor in our restaurant, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Peruvian-style roasted chicken with precision and care, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of quality and flavor. Your role will involve working closely with the kitchen and service staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience that delights our guests. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook traditional Peruvian roasted chicken (Horno Pollo) following established recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety protocols.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients to ensure consistency.
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and optimal guest service.
• Manage food handling processes efficiently, including proper storage, rotation, and waste reduction.
• Support the team during busy hours by bussing tables, assisting with food service, and ensuring guest needs are promptly met.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality by engaging positively with guests and providing excellent customer service.

Skills

• Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices.
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions accurately.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Experience in food service environments, including fine dining or casual restaurants, with a focus on hospitality excellence.
• Ability to upsell menu items like beverages or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Familiarity with beverage service including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor, guest relations expertise, and effective communication abilities.
