Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support Human Resources operations within a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support while helping ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices.

The HR Generalist will partner closely with Operations, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, and leadership teams to support employee relations, onboarding, performance management, policy administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. This individual will play a key role in supporting associates and leaders while helping foster a positive and productive work environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong HR experience, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization. This person must be able to balance multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and support both employees and business leaders in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management to address concerns and help resolve workplace issues.

  • Support initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and morale.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Coach and guide managers on providing constructive feedback and setting clear performance expectations.

  • Assist with auditing HR processes to ensure compliance with company policies and local, state, and federal labor laws.

  • Provide employees with information regarding benefits programs, including medical, retirement, wellness, and leave of absence policies.

  • Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and HR policies.

  • Partner with the HR team to plan and support employee engagement activities, team-building events, and company initiatives.

  • Collaborate with leadership on special HR projects, including policy implementation and process improvements.

  • Monitor employee satisfaction through surveys and informal check-ins; provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to organizational change, culture initiatives, and workforce planning.

  • Support employee recognition programs and celebrate milestones such as anniversaries, birthdays, and achievements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification strongly preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, results-driven environment.

  • Highly organized, analytical, and self-motivated with strong planning skills.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Sitting/Standing: Extended periods of sitting while working at a computer; occasional standing during meetings or facility walkthroughs
  • Walking: Frequent walking throughout warehouse and office areas to observe operations and engage with employees
  • Computer Use: Regular use of a computer for reporting, documentation, and communication
  • Communication: Frequent verbal communication in person, via phone, and video conferencing
  • Light Lifting: Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds
  • Visual & Auditory: Ability to review documents, observe operations, and effectively communicate with employees
