About the Role
We are conducting a confidential search for a Senior Vice President of Sales to lead the transformation and growth of two well-established contemporary apparel brands. With an emphasis on premium positioning and expansion into higher-end retail channels, this role will set the foundation for significant growth over the next 3–5 years.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, this executive will oversee a Senior Merchandising Manager and Lead Designer, driving alignment between product, merchandising, and sales strategies. This role is also intended to serve as the successor to the current Head of Sales upon retirement.
The ideal candidate has a proven ability to scale brands from small revenue/customer bases into $50M businesses, with a strong command of both premium and off-price channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategy to reposition established brands into higher-end retail channels.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team including a Senior Merchandising Manager and Lead Designer.
- Cultivate strong relationships with premium specialty and department store partners.
- Drive revenue growth and expand distribution while protecting brand positioning.
- Utilize off-price channels strategically to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with design and merchandising to align assortments with retail needs.
- Manage forecasting, financial planning, and performance accountability across sales.
- Prepare to assume the Head of Sales role within 3–5 years, building organizational leadership and continuity.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15 years of apparel industry experience, including premium market expertise.
- Demonstrated success in building or scaling brands to $50M in revenue.
- Strong track record in premium/high-end retail sales.
- Off-price experience and/or background as a buyer highly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with succession potential for Head of Sales.
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
