Position Title: Design/Manufacturing Engineer (2026 Summer Internship)Reports to: Engineering ManagerJob Location: Onsite in Norwich, KSEmployment Type: HourlyHours: 40 hours per weekCompensation: $18/hourApplication Deadline: 2/20/2026Position SummarySummer internships are 40 hours per week, typically lasting from late May to early August.  Interns will work in person at our Norwich, KS facility. This position will work within our pattern shop, foundry, and machine shop learning and assisting in all engineering and production support tasks.  Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing manufacturing processes for new productsDesign and produce foundry tooling and finishing work holding componentsProgram/Setup CNC machining equipment (lathes, 3 & 4 axis mills, 5 axis mill-turns)Work closely with engineering and production personnel to investigate and solve technical problemsAssist with and lead process improvements for production teamsDevelop setup and work instructionsResearch and implement new tools and manufacturing processesEducation/Experience:Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following:Manufacturing EngineerMechanical EngineeringManufacturing Engineering TechnologyRobotics/Mechatronics EngineeringIndustrial EngineeringEngineering TechnologyOther related fieldsQualificationsApplicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorshipCandidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless otherwise approved by the supervisorA basic knowledge of manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering principles3D CAD education or experience (SolidWorks preferred)Experience with Mastercam Understanding of CNC machining and programmingStrong work ethic, communication, problem solving, and organizational skillsWork Environment / Safety RequirementsMust adhere to all safety rules and wear required PPE​​​​​​​Work may involve exposure to noise and dust in a non-climate controlled environment.Powered by JazzHRoAcVo5SeOm
