What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician III position at Farouk Systems Inc?
The Technician III will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Farouk Systems, Inc. manufacturing equipment, warehouse and production area, and other administration buildings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facilities, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general building maintenance. (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic and mechanical).
- Diagnose and resolve issues with various systems and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operation.
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
- Work with equipment manufacturers and/or service technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing repairs on CNC, robotic electronics, and controllers (PLC, etc.)
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints.
- Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment parts.
- Install and repair electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Install and replace proxy switches.
- Programming on HMI for Allen Bradley systems.
- Able to perform PMs on DI water systems.
- Perform PMs on broilers, compressors and air dryers
- Advanced troubleshooting on pneumatics
- Rebuild pneumatics cylinders.
- Replace PLC Boards and other electronic boards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair costs, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safe work practices.
- Execute work orders and complete assigned projects while communicating effectively with staff, faculty, or management regarding status and completion.
- Knowledge of ISO 22716 and 9001 Good manufacturing practice regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- 5 years of experience in preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in various maintenance processes, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of packaging, mixing and blending equipment.

- Ability to independently troubleshoot problems, plan solutions, and read equipment manuals.
