ABOUT THE POSITION

The Maintenance Technician is responsible to repair, maintain and service all aspects of the apartment community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

A successful Maintenance Technician is responsible for duties including, but not limited to :

• Perform maintenance and repairs in apartments, specifically authorized by work orders and emergency situations.
• Maintenance of vacant apartments (follow comprehensive check list).
• Update Maintenance Supervisor with outstanding work order and building issues.
• Perform various preventative maintenance functions.
• Performs on-call emergency service if required.
• Maintain grounds and common areas keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Provides snow removal to all areas of the property as needed.
• Provide world class customer service.
• Well-rounded skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
• Ensure safe work practices are being followed by all maintenance staff.
• Understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and standards.
• This position requires personal contact with apartment residents. Proper conduct is essential at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
