Truck Driver/Agronomy Operations
Location: Slayton, MN, 56172
Employment Position Overview
The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting agricultural products and equipment to various locations, as well as assisting with agronomy operations tasks.
Essential Functions
- Operate trucks to transport agricultural products and equipment to designated locations
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Perform routine maintenance on trucks and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Assist with company-wide trucking operations during periods of high demand
- Delivers excellent customer service.
- Works in an effective and efficient manner.
- Always represent yourself and Farmward professionally in action and appearance - positively enriching the culture of Farmward Cooperative.
- Attend meetings.
Education/Experience/Licensing/Other:
- High School graduate required
- Must have a valid commercial driver’s license with hazard, tanker and other DOT endorsements.
- Must have valid health card
- Ag background a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Teamwork skills
- Current driver’s license.
- Must be able to maintain driving record that will meet our insurance carrier’s requirements.
- Must be in good physical condition capable of lifting, carrying and pushing weights up to 100 pounds and have full use of both arms and legs and both hands.
- Must be able to climb stairs, reach above, below and at shoulder level, work on moving machinery, and work at unprotected heights with dust, fumes or gas and in temperature extremes both inside and outside.
- Be able to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.
- Pre-employment and random drug testing required.
- Must attend all training sessions required by law.
- Good math skills.
Pay Range: $20 - $27 per hour
