Duties
The Dental Hygiene Department at Farmingdale State College is looking to fill two part-time professional staff positions that will share duties as the Assistant Manager of the Dental Hygiene Care Center. Those duties include but are not limited to:
- Supervision of students
- Oversight of patient scheduling
- Patient recall
- Collection of clinic fees
- Daily reconciliation of accounts receivable.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current New York State Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Hygiene License required.
- Minimum of three years' experience as a registered dental assistant or licensed dental hygienist with practice management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of standard infection control protocols and knowledge of standards in disinfection and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment.
- Experience in the use of electronic health records, and strong computer skills.
- Minimum of an Associate in Science or Associate in Applied Science in dental hygiene.
- Ability to work with diverse populations including, students, faculty and the general public.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with resin sealants, glass ionomer sealants, intraoral cameras, air polisher and air flow therapy/GBTr lasers and adjunct caries diagnostic technology
These are part-time UUP positions.
- SALARY: $27/hour
- ANTICIPATED START DATE: August 25, 2025
