Facilities at Farmingdale State College seeks to fill a Facility Operations Assistant 1 vacancy in the Heating Plant. Facility Operations Assistant 1's may perform any or all of the following duties, plus additional duties not listed here, as assigned by their supervisor:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
There are no education or experience qualifications for this position. Facility Operations Assistant 1's must be physically able to perform the duties assigned. Possession of a clear and valid NYS drivers license is required.

Duties
Facilities at Farmingdale State College seeks to fill a Facility Operations Assistant 1 vacancy in the Heating Plant. Facility Operations Assistant 1's may perform any or all of the following duties, plus additional duties not listed here, as assigned by their supervisor:
- Perform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort.
- Assist in maintaining, constructing, and repairing buildings, roads, other structures and grounds.
- Will be required to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- May use hand tools or operate motor driven equipment.
- Loads and unloads heavy equipment, supplies, and furniture from trucks by physically lifting items or operating a hand truck or forklift.
- Moves heavy supplies, furniture, and equipment.
- Generally performs work duties as part of a work crew.
- Commitment to diversity and university initiatives supportive of diversity and inclusion.
- Interest in participating in student-centered service activities.
- Desire to apply expertise in promoting civic engagement with the College's many community partners.
