F&M Bank’s Service Specialist V is primarily responsible for handling tasks and duties in the Customer Accounting unit within our Central Operations Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, CIF and account maintenance request processing, signature card review, new account review, exception item processing (EIP), foreign currency orders, Regulation CC hold reviews, Overdraft Protection (ODP) processing, Individual Retirement Account (IRA) management, IRA reporting, levy processing, dormant account review, escheat monitoring, and general ledger balancing.
In their performance of duties, the Service Specialist V delivers exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers and provides support for a variety of complex customer/department requests and issues on a daily basis. This individual assists with troubleshooting operational issues quickly and competently while maintaining a focus on customer and Bank impact

-An individual with experience in deposit operations, CIP requirements, and various consumer and business account structures.
-An individual skilled in preparing both concise and accurate documents, with an understanding of State and Federal regulatory requirements and with the ability to quickly learn regulations and Bank policies and then effectively apply the newly learned information
-A professional self-starter who has the ability to work independently yet demonstrates teamwork in facilitating workflow
-An individual who understands how to prioritize effectively and remains both focused and organized when faced with the pressure of continuous deadlines and requests
-An excellent communicator who has above average written and verbal communication skills
-An individual who pays continuous, high-level attention to detail and always presents themselves in a professional, business-like manner
-An individual devoted to operational excellence, adhering to high ethical standards and who maintains focus to deliver results accurately and precisely
Also required:
-Successful completion of a credit check is a condition of employment
-Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
-Minimum 2 or more years of previous work experience in “back office banking” and/or “branch banking” or related financial services industry, with proven experience in banking operations a plus
-Must have strong proficiency in various Windows based applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
