Job Summary
Farmers Insurance District 08 is seeking an experienced and driven Business Insurance Agent (BIA) to join our team. The BIA will be responsible for growing a profitable book of commercial insurance business while working closely with agencies within our district. This role offers the opportunity to leverage Farmers’ brand strength, resources, and support systems to build lasting client relationships and expand commercial insurance market share in Central Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a strong book of commercial insurance business across multiple industries.
- Partner with agency owners and producers within District 08 to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with business owners by providing tailored insurance solutions and outstanding customer service.
- Conduct needs assessments, evaluate risks, and recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Stay current on Farmers’ commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
- Achieve and exceed production and growth goals established by the district.
- Assist District Manager with Business Insurance training and act as a subject matter expert and resource for commercial insurance within the district.
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Property & Casualty General Lines license (strongly preferred).
- Proven experience in commercial insurance sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding production goals.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk management concepts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for growth and success.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
