Job Summary

This pivotal role is designed for a motivated leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-quality dining environments. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure exceptional food quality, and foster a positive team atmosphere. Your expertise will drive efficiency, uphold safety standards, and elevate the dining experience for our guests.

Duties/Responsibilities:

General Management

  • Manage all food-related operations including hot deli, coffee bar, cold cases, baked goods, grab-and-go meals, roller grill, and fountain drinks.
  • Create food prep schedules based on peak hours and anticipated foot traffic; monitor and adjust production accordingly.
  • Minimize waste by implementing accurate forecasting, portion control, and tracking food loss or spoilage.
  • Order and manage food/supply to maintain established levels.
  • Perform and record accurate monthly deli inventories.
  • Develop work schedule for all food service shifts with Store manager.

o Must be available to cover shifts as needed.

  • Ensure all product levels have items available throughout hours of service.
  • Develop and implement shift duties.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Develop and implement prep lists.
  • Pass all state inspections.
  • Have and maintain a valid "Food License".
  • Assist Store Manager with applicant interviews and hiring.
  • Train and continue to train all team members assigned to the deli (food safety, date, label, product rotation, etc.).
  • Meet and exceed both vendor standards and expectations.
  • Provide excellent customer service while preparing food service menu items for sale.
  • Work cooperatively with, and independently of, the store manager.
  • Perform all tasks as assigned by the Store Manager.
  • Maintain a safe and fun work environment.

Personnel

  • Responsible for alerting the Store Manager to personnel situations or policy violations that may have an adverse effect on the store's operating performance.
  • Properly train and direct kitchen staff for success
  • Ensure Food Safety Regulations are being followed.

Security

  • Always protecting company assets.
  • Report security concerns to Store Manager whenever a situation occurs
  • Be able to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing 25 pounds and moving it to the fire area.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive attitude and image of the business.
  • Solve problems rather than passing them by
  • Assist customers in all aspects of billing, sales, and receiving.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Requirements:


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an office manager
  • Computer experience and knowledge of Ecliptic Software

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, and type and enter data in a timely manner.
  • Be able to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing 25 pounds and moving it to the fire area.
  • Be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Be able to perform arithmetical calculations at the eighth-grade level and account for several products during vendor check-in.
  • Have sufficient visual acuity to operate handheld devices.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
  • Be able to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for up to 10 hours.
