Farmer & Wright, PLLC is seeking an experienced and driven Lawyer – Legal Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for an attorney with extensive bankruptcy law experience who is ready to lead a team.
In this position, you will take the lead in directing our team of attorneys, ensuring high-quality representation for our clients, and aligning our legal strategy with the firm’s overall vision. While the position is primarily remote, the candidate must reside in Kentucky as court appearances may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 filings.
- Provide legal advice and strategic guidance on bankruptcy-related matters.
- Draft, review, and file bankruptcy documentation and pleadings.
- Negotiate and litigate on behalf of clients in bankruptcy court.
- Stay current with developments in bankruptcy law and court rulings.
- Manage a diverse caseload while ensuring a high standard of client service.
- Lead, mentor, and provide direction to the firm’s attorneys to maintain consistency and excellence in legal practice.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to set priorities, allocate resources, and resolve attorney-related issues.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Kentucky and in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bankruptcy law, with significant courtroom experience.
- Proven leadership experience in managing attorneys or legal teams.
- Ability to handle multiple cases and work effectively under pressure.
- High comfort level with technology and learning new software platforms.
