Description
he Route Relief Delivery & Warehouse Associate, also known as a Route Sales Associate (RSA), is a hybrid role which provides route relief and maintenance to customer accounts in Denver and surrounding areas, and other branch locations as needed. They perform warehouse duties such as inventory cycle counts, picking orders, and loading trucks (forklift certification provided). When on a route, the RSA provides excellent customer service by ensuring customers are in-stock, serviced as scheduled, and that the beverage station is set to standard. Duties include selling and delivering coffee, tea, and related products to customers. The hiring team is seeking a self-motivated, dependable individual to join their team who is willing and able to do overnight travel and assist other branches as needed.
Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, overtime when necessary, some weekends and some overnight required depending on route coverage needs
Driving Requirements: Valid Drivers License required with clean driving record. Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical and drug test
Responsibilities
- Receive, ship, and pick customer orders.
- Load and unload trucks using forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE).
- Perform inventory cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Record inbound/outbound loads accurately in warehouse management system (WMS).
- Coordinate with warehouse manager to ensure inventory and facilities are secure and sanitary.
- Correct overages and shortage errors from the distribution center or outside vendor, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Research system transactions as well as inventory data entry to ensure WMS accuracy.
- Follow safety rules and regulations.
- Perform sanitation and housekeeping duties for the branches in line with Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance programs for branches’ equipment and systems. Help research facilities’ issues and equipment failures.
- Find replacement items caused by distribution center shortages and report them through inventory return (IR) procedure.
- Correct overages and shortage errors from the distribution center (DC) or outside vendor, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Replenish products shipped from DCs or vendors, receiving items into inventory accurately and damage-free.
- Generate WSM reports to identify inventory changes, slow, overstock and non‐moving inventory and report to management.
- Facilitate disposition of items with supply chain team members.
- Completes required safety training.
- Deliver, replenish, and rotate beverage station products on each call when assigned to a route.
- Ensure equipment is clean and in working order, executing a minimum of one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day.
- Responsible for escalating customer issues quickly to the ARM and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure customers receive delivery and service as required.
- Manage invoices, inventory, and collections daily when on a route.
- Responsible for increasing Revenue per Stop through identifying and closing distribution voids on core products, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, executing pricing actions and ensuring the beverage station is set to standard when assigned to a route.
- Notify Area Route Manager (ARM) of any inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction or opportunities found while running route relief.
- Assist ARM on customer related matters as assigned.
- Become familiar with brewing equipment and learn to make basic repairs or adjustments.
- Consistently execute the Farmer Brothers customer “The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell“ to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- May perform other duties as assigned including assisting in accounts receivable collections and customer service activities.

$19.36-24.20/hour, dependent on experience

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of general factory, warehouse, inventory, finished goods item and line picking experience preferred.
- Demonstrated warehouse inventory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Route delivery experience preferred but not required.
- Customer service background preferred.
- Previous foodservice industry experience preferred.
- Strong data entry skills and flexibility to perform various operations and sales tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical, possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
