The Full-Time Route Relief Delivery Associate, known as aRoute Sales Associate (RSA), consistently provides route relief and maintenance across the assigned branch locations and is responsible for providing excellent customer service. The RSA will provide route relief when the Route Sales Representatives (RSR) is out on vacation or out on leave. When the RSA is on route relief, the RSA ensures customers are in-stock, serviced as scheduled, and that the beverage station is set to standard. You will be selling and delivering coffee, tea, spices and related products to customers in your assigned area.
When the RSA is not on route relief, their duties are at the warehouse, putting stock away, picking orders, inventory, and maintaining the organization of the warehouse.
Pay: This is an hourly position; pay starting at $20/hour; more pay dependent on experience.
Typical Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, overtime when needed;
Education & Experience

Typical Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, overtime when needed;
- Driving Requirements: **Valid Drivers License and clean driving record required
- Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical, Motor Vehicle Report, and drug test.
- Provides route relief and maintenance, including vacation coverage and open route coverage, for assigned branch locations.
- Route coverage may require travel to branch locations within territory.
- Deliver, replenish, and rotate beverage station products on each call when assigned to a route.
- Ensure equipment is clean and in working order, executing a minimum of one CQC (Cup Quality Check) per day.
- Responsible for escalating customer issues quickly to the Area Route Manager (ARM) and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure customers receive delivery and service as required.
- Manage invoices, inventory, and collections daily when on a route.
- Responsible for increasing Revenue per Stop through identifying and closing distribution voids on core products, executing seasonal and LTO promotions, executing pricing actions and ensuring the beverage station is set to standard when assigned to a route.
- Notify ARM of any inefficiencies, customer dissatisfaction or opportunities found while running route relief.
- Assist ARM on customer related matters as assigned.
- Become familiar with brewing equipment and learn to make basic repairs or adjustments.
- Consistently execute the Farmer Brothers customer “The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell“ to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Perform warehousing duties when route coverage is completed and/or as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned to include, but not limited to assisting in accounts receivable collections and customer service activities.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required to be considered for this role. Need to be able to provide proof either by providing the school information for verirication or document.
- Route delivery experience a plus, but not required
- Warehouse experience is a plus
- Forklift and pallet jack experience is a plus
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
- Extensive customer service background highly desired.
- Previous foodservice, beverage, or coffee industry experience preferred.
- Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical, drug test, possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
