Why This Role Matters
- Reliability: Ensure every account on your daily schedule receives on-time delivery and service.
- Quality: Perform a minimum of one daily CQC (Cup Quality Check) and maintain clean, fully functional equipment.
- Growth: Increase revenue per stop by closing distribution voids on core items, running seasonal/LTO promotions, and executing pricing actions.
- Customer Success: Raise issues promptly to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) and resolve them to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Deliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related products; set beverage stations to standard.
- Manage invoices, inventory, and collections on route.
- Use the Farmer Brothers Way to Sell to strengthen loyalty; make opportunistic sales calls when time allows.
- Report inefficiencies, dissatisfaction, and new opportunities—especially when running route relief.
- Support ASM initiatives including inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer-related assignments.
- Learn basic brewing equipment maintenance and make minor repairs/adjustments.
- Assist, as needed, with warehouse operations, A/R collections, and customer service activities.
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm; overtime when needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully complete a DOT physical.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Route delivery background a plus.
- Customer service experience preferred; foodservice exposure desired.
- Clean driving record.
- Mechanical aptitude with company hardware/software.
- Customer needs assessment and opportunity spotting.
- Goal-focused, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
- Active listening, clear communication, and interpersonal awareness.
- Proactive business development; rapport-building with customers.
- Self-directed and effective in team environments.
