Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Herbicide Applicator role based in Moorhead, IA. The Herbicide Applicator will operate application equipment to apply herbicides and other crop protection products in accordance with label directions, cooperative policies, and local regulations. Daily responsibilities include preparing and mixing chemicals, calibrating and maintaining equipment, keeping accurate application records, and following all safety and environmental guidelines. The role will also support agronomy staff with field scouting, basic equipment upkeep, and customer service, including answering questions about application timing and practices. During peak seasons, the Herbicide Applicator will collaborate with team members to meet scheduling demands, assist with loading and unloading products, and help ensure timely, accurate service for producers.

Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate, monitor, and maintain herbicide application equipment, including sprayers and related machinery.
- Knowledge of crop protection products, basic agronomy principles, and herbicide application techniques and best practices.
- Strong attention to safety, including understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE), chemical handling procedures, and environmental stewardship.
- Capability to read and follow product labels, maps, work orders, and application instructions with a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, agronomists, and customers, and for documenting application activities.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons, perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and walking fields, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or willingness to obtain one is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in agriculture, custom application, or related field is beneficial.
- Willingness to complete required certifications or licensing for pesticide and herbicide application as mandated by state regulations.
