TRUCK DRIVER-HOME EVERY NIGHT/NO WEEKENDS

Reports to: Distribution Center Manager

Classification: Non-Exempt / Eligible overtime after 50 hours

JOB SUMMARY:

This position involves safe operation of Tractor/Trailer, in accordance with all state and federal regulations. Includes but not limited to the delivery and pick up of store merchandise, supplies, and mail.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Loading and unloading of merchandise on truck at Distribution Center and Farm & Home stores.
• Assist in spotting, moving, and unloading 4-5 trailers per day.
• Work availability for trips to accommodate freight demands, weekends included as needed.
• Delivery of advertising materials.
• Pick up orders from vendors.
• Assist in moving freight with manual or powered equipment, which includes safe operation of materials handling equipment such as forklifts & electric pallet jacks.
  
  
  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate logbooks.
• Daily truck inspections and general maintenance as required.
• Pass Forklift certification and keep up to date.
• Weightlifting capability up to & includes 100 lbs.
• Be physically able to carry items of freight for distances of up to 100 feet.
• Pass random drug & alcohol testing.

Others may be required as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have valid Class A- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Minimum age is twenty-one.
• Driver must meet physical requirements as specified in the job description. (physical aptitude test required)

Position Pay Range: $18.50-$25.00/hour
