POSITION: AgExpress Loan Officer
LOCATION: Logan, Utah
COMPENSATION:
Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000, depending on education and experience, plus up to 15% additional performance based variable incentive compensation. Comprehensive benefits package also provided.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for building and managing a loan portfolio within the AgExpress division, which serves members who have a total borrowing relationship under $250,000, regardless of industry or branch. Responsibilities include originating new loans, overseeing credit quality, credit administration, and monitoring portfolio performance within established limits. You will negotiate loan terms, structure and price loans based on risk, and submit credits for approval to appropriate staff members. The position also requires you to develop new business relationships and meet the needs of existing members, aligning with the Association’s goals. Completing the loan officer training program is necessary. Additional duties include conducting field reports, inspecting collateral, and other tasks as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS degree with emphasis in accounting, agriculture or business required. Will consider applicants actively pursuing a degree with anticipated completion in less than 6 months. Applicants must have a basic understanding of production agriculture. Must also have strong analytical, accounting, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Experience using office equipment, personal computers and the Microsoft Office suite of software products is required. Experience in agricultural lending is preferred.
Applicants must have ability to interact effectively and work well with people at all levels of the organization and convey ideas clearly. Require skills in planning and organization. Applicants must be self-motivated with a good work ethic and ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.

For over 100 years, the Association has been providing agricultural lending services to commercial and mortgage borrowers in Utah and portions of Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona.
