What are the responsibilities and job description for the ServiceNow Developer position at Farm Credit Financial Partners?
POSITION SUMMARY: The ServiceNow Developer is a contributor who supports FPI’s ServiceNow platform (primarily ITSM and related ITIL processes) under the guidance of a Senior Developer or Platform Owner. The role involves configuring and developing solutions using Flow Designer, Service Catalog/Portal, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and entry-level scripted logic to enhance the platform and resolve defects. The ServiceNow developer supports platform stability (incident/request triage, minor fixes) and assists with upgrades and Health Scan remediation; architectural decisions remain with senior ServiceNow Developer / Platform Owner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Build and configure ServiceNow capabilities for ITSM (e.g., forms, tables, catalog items/record producers, notifications) following established guardrails and best practices.
· Modify existing workflows and create new workflows.
· Configure integrations with other 3 rd party applications with ServiceNow.
· Assist with assurance that ServiceNow functionality meets ITIL standards.
· Maintain current knowledge on ITIL standards and ServiceNow functionality.
· Support platform upgrades (smoke testing, minor breaking-change fixes) and track/resolved Health Scan findings with guidance.
· Create/update documentation and knowledge articles for supported solutions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide cross-functional assistance as needed to other operational areas of FPI (Financial Partners Inc).
· Identify opportunities for quality and process improvement resulting in improved efficiency, increased productivity, and high customer satisfaction.
· Provide exceptional customer service to all present and potential customers, communicating status and risks clearly.
· Additional tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Ability to report to work in person and to attend work-related functions/activities.
· Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
· Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to occasionally travel as required.
· Ability to type and utilize various software programs efficiently and operate general office equipment.
· Ability to work in an office setting with moderate noise levels.
· Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment.
· Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.
