Brief Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Intern provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources team, gaining hands-on experience across core HR functions including employee records management, payroll support, recruiting coordination, compliance, and employee communications. This role assists with day-to-day HR operations, supports ongoing initiatives, and contributes to process improvements while developing foundational knowledge of HR practices.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist with employee timecard processing in UKG, including data review and audit support to help ensure accuracy and timely submission
  • Assist with preparing and organizing documentation in response to internal and external HR audit requests
  • Assist with contacting tax agencies regarding outstanding notices and documentation needs
  • Provide support for recruiting activities, including scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and maintaining applicant tracking records
  • Assist with job postings and preliminary resume reviews for basic qualifications under HR guidance
  • Support onboarding preparation, including assembling new hire materials and coordinating documentation
  • Assist employees with UKG password resets and basic system navigation questions
  • Draft and format HR memos, letters, and other employee communications

Support HR initiatives and special projects, including the Career Ladder Update initiative and review of Learning & Development (L&D) content

  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the HR team as needed Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pursuing a degree in in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of sophomore standing, with junior or senior status preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in Human Resources or related field

Essential Functions

  • Ability to report to work in person and to attend work-related functions/activities.
  • Ability to work at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to occasionally travel as required.
  • Ability to type and utilize various software programs efficiently and operate general office equipment.
  • Ability to work in an office setting with moderate noise levels.
  • Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, frequent talking or hearing, occasional push/pull, stoop/kneel, bend/twist, and reach to retrieve or move items in a typical office environment.
  • Must be able to work scheduled hours and overtime as needed.



  • Hybrid or remote work arrangements:
  • This role has been designated as a Hybrid role, which gives employees the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and working in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
