This position is responsible for a wide variety of tasks within property and casualty accounting team. In this role you will: What You’ll Do: Prepare and analyze financial work papers, reports and ad hoc requests. Document observations for review. Monitor, evaluate and reconcile financial records to ensure transactions are properly recorded. Act in a support role for the ongoing use of the commission system and application. Assist with testing and execution of commission system changes that impact reporting processes. Assist with audits, both internal and external, by providing documentation. Complete unclaimed property filings and reporting. Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency. Maintain and document sound internal control system and processes to ensure reliability of financial results What It Takes to Join Our Team: Have a college degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, some experience preferred. Basic knowledge of concepts from GAAP, SAP (Statutory Accounting Principles), and SOX/MAR. Competent in using Excel and ability to learn other software applications specific to the job. Oral and written communication skills as appropriate to this position and capable of dealing with all levels of employees and outside professionals. Be a problem solver, analytical, and organized. Salary : $56,000 - $76,000
