What You'll Do: As a Regional Crop Specialist you will work with multi-line exclusive agents to drive production and generate increased crop insurance product sales consistent with established sales goals within an assigned region for Farm Bureau Financial Services crop insurance's marketing territory through marketing calls, product and sales training and promotion. You will also:
- Support the Regional Crop Consultant in driving production of the sale of federal crop insurance, federal livestock insurance, and private crop insurance products.
- Act as a liaison for the crop department in the delivery of product-related material to the captive MLEA distribution channel.
- Monitor results of lead generation strategies, develop and assess effectiveness to recommend and implement changes to improve performance as needed.
- Collaborate with the Regional Crop Consultant in providing guidance and support for crop education and product cross sell opportunities between the home office and the agents and district managers.
- Assist with identifying target markets for the Crop line of business.
- Assist the Regional Crop Consultant with sales preparation, one-on-one training, developing training tools, and demonstrating sales technique to the multiline agents in order to increase the agent's product knowledge and salesmanship skills.
- Assist with the development, coordination, and implementation of communications programs and strategies that inform and educate customers and prospects of Crop Insurance and services available through Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Two years Agriculture experience or knowledge preferred.
- College degree or equivalent.
- Federal Crop and Livestock Certifications preferred and will be required within on year of employment.
- Crop Insurance License will be required for all P/C states within two months of employment.
- Excellent people and presentation skills.
- Preferred location is Southern Kansas, but the right candidate in Western Nebraska or South Dakota would also be considered**
