What You'll Do
- As an Ag Underwriting Customer Service Representative, you will:
- Ensure continuous growth of the company, providing quality service for the Ag Business Unit through prompt assistance and processing.
- Assist with coverage, rating and billing processes on ag accounts through workflow, phone calls and e-mail.
- Review submitted materials for completeness and accuracy, following up as needed.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, agents and client/members.
- Be a resource for questions, assisting with education and training as well.
- Flexibility is key, as you will have other duties and projects as assigned.
- Ag/farming background is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- Flexibility to organize and process work with limited supervision under tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have basic math skills and ability to learn basic knowledge of insurance products.
- Strong computer skills are required in order to quickly learn our multiple systems.
- Progress towards industry education is expected.
- Work 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday from our office in Manhattan, KS.
