About Us: Farina is launching a new fast-casual Italian concept in Doral, and the secret to our menu is our prep team. We are looking for a dedicated Prep Cook to ensure our line is fully stocked and our ingredients are prepped to perfection every single day.
What You'll Do:
- Prepare and portion daily ingredients, focusing heavily on fresh pasta (using a top of the line pasta extruder), sauces, and vegetable prep.
- Set up the line cooks for success before the lunch and dinner rushes begin.
- Receive inventory, rotate stock (FIFO), and ensure proper storage temperatures.
- Keep the prep kitchen, walk-in coolers, and dry storage areas spotless and organized.
- Assist the line cooks during unexpected volume spikes.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous prep or kitchen experience, preferably handling dough or fresh produce.
- Strong knife skills and an understanding of kitchen equipment.
- Deep knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Reliability and excellent time management skills.
