Job Summary:
The Restaurant Counter Person is responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders, processing payments, and ensuring accurate order preparation and delivery. This role helps maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house environment while working closely with kitchen staff to provide a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take customer orders accurately, either in person or by phone.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, credit card, and digital payments.
- Prepare beverages and simple food items as needed.
- Package takeout and delivery orders accurately.
- Answer customer questions regarding menu items, pricing, and promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter, dining area, and beverage stations.
- Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, cups, and condiments.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally or refer them to management when necessary.
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an advantage but not required.
