What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Dispatch-Jailer position at Faribault County?
Main duties will include Dispatch but will serve as backup for Jailer duties as needed. Dispatch duties include skillful and prompt operation of radio, computer, and telephone for law enforcement purposes.
Jailer duties include maintaining orderly and secure supervision of inmates. The applicant must have the ability to understand, interpret, and be responsible for maintaining compliance with established rules and regulations within the Sheriff’s Office; as well as understand data privacy laws and inmate legal rights. Must be able to act without direct supervision, multitask, and exercise good judgement in meeting emergencies. Good keyboarding/computer skills are required, CPR/First Aid training helpful but not required. Minimum age is 18.
Training required annually.
Wage is $21.48/hour.
