At Farias Family Law, we are a small but growing family law firm looking for a Full-Time Associate Divorce and Custody Attorney in MA with 5 years of experience in the practice area.

Position Summary

We’re looking for an attorney who loves to listen to clients, figure out what they really need, create a plan, and execute it with strategy, negotiations, and representation. You’ll work collaboratively with your team to ensure your clients get the best results.

This position is full-time (40 hrs/wk). The work is mostly remote, but you must be within reasonable driving distance of the Plymouth, Norfolk, and/or Bristol County MA Probate and Family Courts for court events. You’ll have access to office space at our Fall River Office if desired.

Pay: Starting at $130k, based on experience, with quarterly bonus opportunities and growth potential.

• 5 years of experience in divorce and custody law
• Ability to attend court events in Plymouth, Norfolk, and Bristol County Family Courts
• High-speed internet and the ability to work remotely

Case Management:

• Manage divorce caseload efficiently with timely progress and resolution.
• Coordinate with the team for effective document drafting and communication.

Client Communication & Satisfaction:

• Set, adjust, and manage client expectations, providing empathetic updates on case status.

Litigation & Negotiation:

• Represent clients in court, hearings, and mediation with a focus on their goals.
• Engage in proactive discovery, negotiate favorable terms, and prepare strong legal arguments.

Billable Hours & Revenue:

• 1255 billable hours per year.
• Enter activities promptly in the case management system and work with the team to ensure 100% collection.
