Title: Tenant Services Coordinator
Position Summary: The Tenant Services Coordinator will provide direct support to the affordable property management team. They will help residents by connecting them with resources, and fostering a safe, stable and positive living environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide information and referrals to social services, including employment programs, childcare, healthcare, food assistance and transportation.
· Develop ongoing relationships with tenants and help them to successfully remain housed.
· Maintain regular communication with tenants and case managers to monitor progress and follow up on service needs.
· Assists management in identifying tenants who need assistance.
· Evaluate tenants needs and address concerns as needed.
· Be aware of and maintain community relations to assist in referring tenants and maintaining a comprehensive list of community resources available.
· Plan and facilitate community events to strengthen resident engagement and social cohesion, to improve resident quality of life.
· Collaborate with other Fargo Housing service coordinators and serve as an effective team member and improve outcomes for tenant needs.
· Link tenant to supportive services to assist in achieving housing self-sufficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Yardi experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work compassionately with diverse populations.
- Interviewing and maintaining effective working relations with and fostering a supportive environment for participants.
- Analyzing situations and adopting effective courses of action when applying existing Housing Authority rules, regulations and policies.
- Conflict resolution and crisis-intervention abilities.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, clients, officials, other agencies, and the public.
- Must exercise good judgement in maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in human services, and two years of experience, Social Work or a closely related field: OR
· Associate’s degree in a related field and three years of full-time experience in human services, case management, housing, or community relations: OR
· Five years of relevant full-time experience as described above.
· Have a valid driver's license.
· Must pass criminal background check and drug test.
Work Environment:
· This position works within an office environment.
· The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and use hands to type, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
· This employee is required to occasionally lift 10-30 pounds.
· This is a full-time non-exempt position.
· Regular hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. However, this position can occasionally have evening and weekend work a few times per year.
· Travel required between affordable properties in Fargo.
