What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Planner position at Far West Federal?

We are seeking experienced Supply Planners, to support the 638th Supply Chain Management Group (638 SCMG) at Robins AFB, Ga to ensure the efficient and effective distribution and sustainment of Air Force assets worldwide. The Supply Planner will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Integrated Product Team (IPT), and shall include the application of analytical methods, and techniques to resolve inventory management problems and issues; initial planning, provisioning and requirements determination; acquisition and sustainment, to include distribution, accountability, retention, and disposal. The SME shall accomplish SP tasks normally associated with assigned workload and provide assistance/guidance on logistics systems and processes related to their workload to other SP personnel in their assigned area. The daily logistics systems and processes may include Stock Control System (D035A) wholesale supply, Secondary Item Requirement System (SIRS) D200A file maintenance, D043, D143C, Execution and Prioritization of Repair Support System (EXPRESS), Purchase Instruments, Purchase Request Process System (PRPS), Manager Review Codes, Suspended Assets, Reutilization Disposal System (Reclamation, Disposal, Excess, FES/FAS), foreign military sales, Basing & Logistics Analytical Data Environment (BLADE) formerly Logistics, Installations and Mission Support Enterprise View (LIMS-EV), deletion of obsolete National Stock Numbers (NSNs), and processing of provisioning documents.

Key Responsibilities
- Requirements identification/development, item management, and requirements execution
- Evaluating program efficiency
- Validate repair requirements, initiating and managing organic/contract arrangements
- Procure items and maintain documentation
- Optimize global asset distribution based on customer needs
- Analyze data to determine optimal demand planning methods.
- Resolve complex inventory problems
- Prepare reports and briefings for management and customers.
- Assisting Government personnel
- Apply knowledge of logistics planning, programming, and budgeting systems
- Utilize relevant data systems
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in inventory management, supply planning, or logistics operations (either as contractor or government)
- Experience using ESCAPE/SPM for requirements determination and validation
- Experience reviewing and supporting EXPRESS
- Experience developing and preparing purchase instrument packages using PRPS
- Experience supporting IPTs with National Stock Number (NSN) reviews
- Proficiency with the Web, MS Office, and Sharepoint
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop executive-level briefings, reports, and customer deliverables
- Knowledge of AFI-23-101 and AFMCMAN 23-101 v4
