What We Are Looking For:
The Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Fanimation will spearhead the sales and marketing efforts, driving strategic initiatives to expand market presence, achieve sales targets, and ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction. This role involves overseeing key account management, collaborating closely with product development, and providing strategic oversight of major trade show activities.
What You Will Do:
- Strategic Sales and Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute tailored and comprehensive sales strategies for each sales channel to effectively achieve sales and revenue goals, driving growth and market expansion.
- Key Account Engagement and Customer Relationship Management: Proactively engage key stakeholders across all primary sales channels to bolster relationships, ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty, and optimize sales outcomes. This includes hands-on involvement with lighting showrooms, strategic partnerships with big-box retailers, such as Lowes, digital marketing initiatives for ecommerce growth, collaborations with electrical distributors, and bespoke solutions for the hospitality industry.
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide strategic oversight and leadership to direct reports of the sales and marketing team fostering a culture of high performance, high engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Product Development Influence: Work closely with the product development team to provide market-driven input on customer preferences and trends for new products and features, especially focusing on the integration of smart technology to enhance user experience and product functionality.
- Trade Show Management: Partner with the Director of Sales to oversee trade show activities, ensuring Fanimation maximizes brand exposure and product knowledge among stakeholders.
- Executive Leadership: Partner with peer executive leadership team members to develop and provide strategic direction, ensure resources are available to achieve the organization’s strategic objectives, and resolve critical issues that impede organizational success in alignment with Fanimation’s mission, vision, and core values of integrity, innovation, and quality.
What You Bring to Fanimation:
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role within the consumer goods or manufacturing sectors.
- Extensive experience managing sales across diverse channels including lighting showrooms, big-box retailers, ecommerce platforms, electrical distributors, and the hospitality sector. Familiarity with the unique dynamics and sales strategies pertinent to each channel is crucial.
- Proven track record in managing and expanding business relationships with big-box retailers, such as Lowe's.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to motivate, influence and effectively negotiate with both internal and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of swiftly diagnosing and resolving complex issues to drive business objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a high-performing, highly engaged sales and marketing team.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize advanced digital tools and platforms for sales management, customer relationship management (CRM), and team collaboration.
- Strong leadership skills, adept in strategic planning and execution.
- Resilient and adaptable, with a proven track record of leading change in a dynamic business environment.
Education / Certifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or relevant field required.
- MBA preferred.
