Role Overview
The Email Campaign Operations Specialist will work directly with marketing stakeholders to build, test, and deploy email campaigns that drive customer engagement and revenue. These campaigns consist of every day marketing messages centered around events, products, and promotions as well as hot markets which often require after hours/weekend deployment. This role reports to the Director of Email Operations and is crucial for executing Fanatics' email marketing initiatives.
How you will make an impact:
Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to co-develop and ensure campaigns are built according to specifications and brand guidelines
Build and deploy email marketing campaigns in Adobe Journey Optimizer, including implementation of complex customer journeys, segments, and personalization rules
- Execute quality assurance testing for all assigned campaigns, including content validation, link checking, dynamic content testing, and cross-platform rendering tests
- Set up A/B tests and ensure proper tracking parameters are implemented for campaign performance measurement
- Manage campaign scheduling and deployment timeline to ensure on-time delivery of all marketing initiatives
- Monitor campaign performance post-launch and troubleshoot any delivery or rendering issues that arise
- Maintain accurate campaign documentation and status updates in project management systems
- Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures for campaign building and testing processes
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 2 years of hands-on experience building and deploying email marketing campaigns
- Proficiency in Adobe Journey Optimizer or similar enterprise email marketing platforms
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with email testing methodologies and quality assurance processes
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for email
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Desired Experience & Capabilities
- Adobe Journey Optimizer certification
- Experience with Workfront or similar project management tools
- Understanding of email deliverability best practices and CAN-SPAM requirements
- Knowledge of SQL and data management concepts
- Experience in retail or e-commerce industry
