Resinall Corp, an Ergon Company, is seeking a Process Engineering Co-Op to join our Process Engineering team in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This position provides an engineering student with hands-on experience supporting manufacturing processes, monitoring operations, and troubleshooting processing challenges. The Process Engineering Co-Op will apply engineering principles to help improve manufacturing methods, product quality, process performance, and equipment effectiveness while working within established safety and cost guidelines.
Education & Qualifications
- Completion of at least two semesters in an accredited engineering program, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of three co-op semesters alternating with school.
- Self-motivated with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and improvement of equipment, manufacturing processes, process controls, and production layouts.
- Conduct research, testing, and data collection to evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor process and product variables, including temperature, viscosity, acid number, and pressure, to help maintain effective process control.
- Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot processing challenges and support safety, environmental, quality, and cost objectives.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of engineering tools and other resources used to support manufacturing operations.
