We are seeking a dedicated Parenting Pathways Coordinator with bilingual proficiency to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in child welfare, social work, and conflict management, and will be passionate about supporting diverse families in a dynamic environment.
- Provide culturally sensitive parenting education and support tailored to the needs of diverse families, including bilingual communication when applicable.
- Assist families in navigating child protective services, and behavioral health resources to promote child safety and well-being.
- Conduct crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations involving children or families in distress.
- Collaborate with social workers, child welfare agencies, and community partners to develop comprehensive family plans.
- Offer conflict management strategies to help resolve disputes within family units effectively and respectfully.
- Maintain detailed documentation of family interactions and progress reports in compliance with organizational policies.
- Support families through behavioral health challenges by connecting them with appropriate mental health resources and providing emotional support.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration among staff members while maintaining a focus on family-centered care.
- Proven experience working with children and families within child welfare or social services settings.
- Knowledge of child protective services procedures and behavioral health practices.
- Demonstrated crisis intervention and crisis management skills in high-pressure situations.
- Strong background in social work, childcare, or related fields with an emphasis on family support services.
- Bilingual proficiency (preferred) to effectively serve diverse populations and facilitate communication across language barriers.
- Excellent conflict management abilities coupled with a compassionate approach to behavioral health challenges.
- Familiarity with child welfare policies, community resources, and family engagement strategies is highly desirable.
