What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician position at Family Strong CT, LLC?
Part-Time Position
Hourly rate: $21.11
In-home and community based position working with children and young adults with Autism. The Behavior Technician will work directly under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The Behavior Therapist/technician will be responsible for implementing the behavior intervention plan, collect data on target behaviors, behavior goals, and daily living goals. The Behavior Technician must be able to work independently and think critically to problem solve situations which may occur.
Working hours will be based on the need of the child and family. Most working hours will be needed during the evenings Monday-Friday and throughout the day on weekends.
Qualifications:
1) Possess a high school diploma plus a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. If not already obtained, the individual must complete the 40-hour RBT training within 180 days of employment and pass the RBT Initial Competency Assessment within one year, in accordance with BACB expectations. Ongoing renewal of the BACB credential is also required.
Or
2) Possess a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential plus six months of full-time equivalent experience providing ASD treatment services. Ongoing renewal of the BACB credential is also required.
Or
3) Have an associate’s degree or an equivalent number of credit hours with a passing grade from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health field, behavior analysis or a related field, plus six months of full-time equivalent experience providing ASD treatment services. Such experience may occur at any time, including before, during or after receiving the associate’s degree or any combination thereof.
Or
4) Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health field, behavior analysis or a related field, plus six months of full-time equivalent experience providing ASD treatment services. Such experience may occur at any time, including before, during or after receiving the bachelor’s degree or any combination thereof.
Weekly Hours Available:
Monday - Friday: 3:00pm - 7:00pm
