Founded in 1954, Family Services of Westchester is a private, nonprofit, non-sectarian social services agency. Family Services of Westchester are seeking a Recreation Coordinator to join our team. As a Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities for individuals or groups in a variety of settings.
JOB SUMMARY
Family Services of Westchester is seeking a Full-Time Recreation Coordinator to develop community resources for recreation education and vocational services located in New Rochelle, NY.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Coordinate and develop community recourses for recreation, educational and vocational services.
- Schedule and implement daily recreation activities for youth, on & off site.
- Provide direct care supervision to youth in order to monitor, train and support positive gains in child activities of daily living
- Provide individualized care to each resident in a therapeutic milieu
- Prompt positive social interactions based on the individual treatment plan for each child and family.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- High school diploma required
- Associates college degree preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years experience with children
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION (Required)
- Valid drivers license
