Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent
2. 3-5 years’ work experience with Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Clients
3. Good interpersonal skills
4. Organizational and conceptual skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the program Director, the Non-residential Advocate is responsible for providing outreach and case management to our clients. The Non-residential advocate will participate in the Agency Quality Improvement program. Attend all necessary scheduled trainings including CPR, First Aid and Crisis Intervention training to obtain certifications. Work with victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
Direct Service Responsibilities:
1. Advocate will complete intake and orientation for Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence clients.
2. Advocate and accompany client where needed.
3. Provide case management to clients.
4. Network with and make referrals to appropriate agencies.
5. Provide information and referral for employment.
6. Assist clients with educational arrangements for children.
7. Maintain files and records and assist with statistical information for monthly, quarterly and yearly reports.
8. Participate in mandatory training and meetings related to the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence clients.
9. Attend and participate in all appropriate staff meeting, work groups and etc., as directed.
10. Perform all duties and services in full compliance with FSSETX service excellence standards.
General Responsibilities:
1. Direct all media requests to Family Violence Program Director.
2. Direct all calls regarding volunteers to Community Relations Director.
3. Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
4. Maintain client confidentially at all times.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
PAY RATE: $17.00 per hour
