Duties & Responsibilities: Resident Advocates are responsible for providing crisis intervention, monitoring the shelter, assisting clients with daily needs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer hotline calls and respond to online chat (HUB).
- Complete client intakes, room assignments, and exits.
- Distribute client medications and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor campus security cameras, gate access, and client sign-in/out.
- Conduct hourly rounds and room checks, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Document client interactions and incidents in the database.
- Clean and prepare vacated rooms for new residents.
- Issue hygiene and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of office and common areas during shift.
- Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in social services, residential care, or customer service preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, crisis-oriented environment with empathy and professionalism.
- Basic computer and data entry skills required.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform cleaning and light physical tasks as part of shift duties.
Full time Schedule: Shifts vary (24/7 coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays)
