What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Intern position at Family Service Association?
The potential intern must have a strong sense of discretion, detailed oriented and well organized. We are ideally looking for someone between 15-25 hours per week with a semi flexible schedule between 8am - 5pm, Monday -Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining all personnel files including restricted and confidential material.
- Assist in coordinating the hiring process, including new employee orientation, and entering data for new hires into Paylocity.
- Help process paperwork ensuring license, certification, TB, CPR, First Aide, drivers license, and other data needed for regulatory compliance is entered.
- Provide clerical support to ensure that all personnel documentation is filed appropriately and entered accurately.
- Assist with the onboarding process, checking references, CORI processing, coordinating orientation and training using the applicant tracking system.
- Participate in HR reporting, analyzing and tracking data in excel.
- Maintain confidentiality of office.
- Provide prompt response to employees and leadership regarding HR questions and information.
- Respond to reasonable expectations of the Agency and/or supervisor.
- Assist with various HR projects, requiring knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred.
- Office experience required with some basic HR knowledge.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
