The Home Assistance Program through Family Service Association hires Family Members and/or Friends of individuals who qualify for services.*See below for details on eligibility*
Play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and a higher quality of life for the people we serve!
Duties Include:
- Assistance with personal care
- Bathing, dressing, grooming
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Shopping
- Meal prep
Education and Requirements:
- Must have the ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as:
- lifting kitchen trash bags, pushing a vacuum, wiping counter tops, sanitizing bathrooms, which include bending, squatting, lifting under 25 pounds, pushing cleaning equipment, scrubbing, while practicing proper body mechanics.
- Experience in providing homecare and/or working with adults with a medical or mental health diagnosis strongly preferred! No CNA or HHA license required if you possess the experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A diagnosed medical condition (a physical challenge and/or mental health diagnosis)
AND
- Be at least 22 years of age
- Be a MassHealth Standard or CommonHealth recipient, be enrolled in a Senior Care Option (SCO), or in a One Care program.
- Be approved by a Primary Care Physician.
