Qualifications:

  • Education Required: Open
  • Education Preferred: High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience Required: Demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate data and complex topics effectively to various audiences. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Effective partnering and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience Preferred: Answering a high call volume phone line, quality/compliance in a human service organization is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing and a vehicle with appropriate auto insurance are required.  Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.

 

 

Position Specifics

  • Full-time, nonexempt hourly position at $25.36/hour (estimated annual pay: $42,199.04)
  • Schedule: 32 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:25 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., supporting work-life balance

  • Service area: Davenport, Muscatine, and Moline

Position Details

The Advocate – Iowa Crisis Line will provide crisis and referral support via phone and in person using an identified screening process and access and intake tools and resources. This position will perform a variety of functions which involve the activities of the various programs and departments in the agency, including skilled clerical work and work of an extremely confidential nature. The position will be expected to provide coverage for other office support staff at any location as part of the team. This position is responsible for providing quality improvement support services on projects assigned by the Effectiveness and Quality Department, internal and external customer support, providing complete and timely documentation as required, and participating with and overseeing the file requirements based on program expectations. The position will initiate and maintain confidential client files, perform data entry, and track statistics regarding client files. This position requires reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Director - Effectiveness & Quality. This position requires a flexible schedule that may include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
