Qualifications:

  • Education Required: Open.
  • Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience Required: Any relevant work experience
  • Experience Preferred: 3 years of related human services field work experience.
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing and a vehicle with appropriate auto insurance are required.  Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.

 

 

 

Position Specifics

  • Typically reflecting a 32-hour work week.
  • Position Hours: Monday – Friday (With Monday or Friday OFF) 8:30 AM – 5 PM, including some weekends and evening shifts.
  • Full-time position.
  • Nonexempt hourly position at $27.87 per hour (estimated at $46,373.45 annually).
  • Comprehensive benefits are offered.
  • Service Area: Rock Island County and parts of Henry and Mercer County in Illinois.
  • Location: Moline, Illinois.
  • Rotating on-call shifts required.

 

 

Position Details

The Advocate - Illinois Belonging provides comprehensive trauma-informed and survivor-centered services to survivors of domestic abuse. This position will collaborate with their team to meet the goals of providing quality survivor services, increasing survivor identification, increasing access to services, and increasing referrals in Rock Island and parts of Henry County. This position provides short- and long-term culturally/linguistically appropriate services to promote the health, safety, and well-being of survivors of underserved populations and specific needs. This position participates in the on-call rotation, providing 24-hour in-person crisis response to survivors as requested. This position requires reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Supervisor - Illinois Domestic Abuse. This position requires a flexible schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and holidays.
