What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Engagement Specialist position at Family Resource Center?
PRIMARY PURPOSE / FUNCTION:
The goal is to assist in the development and implementation of a family engagement plan, for the purpose of achieving and maintaining high levels of family involvement and positive family attitudes towards education.
TITLE 1, PART A – INTENT & PURPOSE
Title I, Part A, provides supplemental resources to LEAs to help schools with high concentrations of students from low-income families provide high-quality education that will enable all children to meet the state student performance standards. Title I, Part A, supports campuses in implementing either a schoolwide program (SWP) or a targeted assistance program (TAP).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in social work or closely related field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
General knowledge of parent education programs
Knowledge of social services available from various agencies
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Bilingual Preferred
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
Patient and calm demeanor with others
Experience:
Prior teaching or social service work experience preferred
Salary : $49,405 - $65,253
